Fabolous to release mixtape in February minus DJ
Says Loso' (in a recent interview with XXL):
"I’m almost done with it. I did the poll [on Twitter] to get people interactive with it and see what names they would come up with. I’m doing it over all old soul sampled beats, so I wanted to keep the world ‘soul’ within the title. A lot of people picked Soul Survivor or really attached it to There Is No Competition because they are already familiar with that and that’s one of the mixtape monikers for me. But I wanted to keep it separate from There Is No Competition, even though that name is winning [in the poll]. I might actually go with the third option which is The S.O.U.L. Tape. The first one that was winning was Rest The Souls of the Competition. That’s kinda like playing into There Is No Competition 2 and the next one is TINC 2.5: Soul Survivor. But I’m trying to steer away from that because that’s its own brand. I want to steer away from both of those and just call it The S.O.U.L. Tape."
he adds:
"For a while there hasn’t been a tape without a DJ since like maybe Drake’s tape or Lil Wayne’s tape. Everybody usually has a DJ attached to it which is dope, I think it’s a dope thing for both the DJ and the artist. They usually blend the tapes well and it good for the music, but I think I want to do it without— just music. Its kinda one of those tapes that I want people to just sit through and listen and really hear the lyrics. DJs bring it back sometimes or they’re talking on top of it."

The internet is watching you cowardly piece of shit. If anyone has any information about these kids; names, addresses, phone numbers, anything send it to me. Boycott their off-brand-biting ass music. Seriously, you think doing that makes you a thug? You think that makes you tough? I hope these pieces of shit get what they deserve (ass rape in prison). Speak your mind in the comments.
***EDIT***
WOW, that edit wasn't up long. I had to take it down along with anything that pointed towards who the suspects are. Innocent until prove guilty I suppose. Apparently they are/were getting lots of threats LOL.
And you know what pisses me off the most? Someone in their wack-ass crew ripped off my name. I AM THE REAL DJ DM. Not some little bitch who jumps someone with all his little buddies then post it to youtube to feel tough and pretend to be gangstas. Karma is a bitch and there will be hell to pay.

Game speaks on Dre production on Purp & Patron
"Everything on that is new. [I recorded the songs with Dre] probably a couple months ago in late July. I was just trying to fill a mixtape, so I just put as many shits as I could. They didn’t necessarily have to be Dre songs, or Cool and Dre. I just was going through the hard drive and whatever I found that was of good quality and recent recording, I gave to Skee. And some of those had already leaked, maybe a verse or hook. The whole version didn’t leak, so that’s why I threw the Dre joints out because they had already leaked. [In terms of having a song with Ashanti], I don’t think she was riding with anything. She separated herself from the beef if anything. Dre called me and was like, ‘You ever work with Ashanti?’ and I was like, ‘Nah.’ He was like, ‘Are you opposed to it?’ And I said, ‘Nope.’ So we did it."

Phife (of ATCQ) speaks on documentary
“To be honest, I was totally caught off-guard when Ali [Shaheed Muhammad] called me one day, a day before the Rock the Bells show in L.A. that you guys saw onscreen, and Ali gave me a heads up that Mike was gonna call me and talk about this so-called documentary. And Mike called me like two minutes after Ali because he doesn’t play at all,” Phife shared.
Phife Dawg, sidekick to front man Q-Tip over the years, was on hand with Rapaport during a Q&A session, filmed by New York magazine to discuss some of the inner workings of the crew and the difficulty the group faced in agreeing to let the first time director film them at their rawest moments.
Phife went on to say, “I said, ‘Yo, it sounds cool,’ and I’m thinking “Behind the Music”-ish, I’m thinking ‘Driven.’ You know those shows, and I love those shows. But for me? I don’t mind being in Lil Wayne and Pink’s business, but for me to put Tribe’s business out there? We were in a funny place … but I asked Mike, ‘How real can I keep it? It’s kinda messy right now, man. I don’t know if this should be done.’ ”
The five-foot assassin added, “I said, ‘Ali agreed?’ [Rapaport said] ‘Yeah.’ [I said,] ‘Jarobi agreed?’ [Rapaport said,] ‘Yeah.’ ‘Last but not least, Q-Tip the Abstract Poetic agreed?’ and he’s like ‘Yeah.’ So I was like, ‘Alright, I’m all in … ‘ ”
The discussion then turned emotional as the usually cocky MC broke down into humble tears discussing how appreciative he was for the opportunity and how much the film meant to him.
“I knew at the end of the day there were gonna be bumps in the road just like any group. But I’m just so happy to be here, witnessing. I wish … [Phife breaks down] I wish the rest of them were here, man. ‘Cause they don’t understand like, I listen to you guys’ responses throughout the movie. Q-Tip has no idea how many people love him. He was up there crackin’ jokes, talkin’ about the ‘Can I Kick It?’ beat drums. You guys were dyin’ [with] laughter,” Phife Dawg said. – RapFix
